GENERAL, ACADEMIC AND SPECIALISED ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEVEL ASSESSMENT
Cambridge ESOL provides the largest range of internationally recognised English level tests globally. English as it is used in work, study and in specialised areas such as law, medicine, engineering, business or finance. This is done by assessing all four areas of language proficiency – listening, reading, writing and speaking – according to the different CEFR levels (Common European Framework for Language Reference) and the specific requirements of different environments where English is used.
POSSIBLE COURSE AND EXAMINATION AREAS
General English
PET(Preliminary English Test)
An examination at level B1 tests your ability to communicate in everyday level, both written and oral.
FCE(First Certificate in English)
An examination at Level B2 which tests your ability to communicate, orally and in writing, within a range of areas.
CAE(Certificate in Advanced English)
An advanced exam. At this level you should be confident to use English both in the workplace and in the studies.
CPE(Certificate of Proficiency in English)
A very advanced level - perfect for those who have achieved such a high level language that you can communicate effectively in almost any English-speaking context.
Business English
BEC(Business English Certificates)
A series of three exams at various levels tailored to test your business English. These are ideal if you prepare for a career in business.

Cambridge ESOL takes great care to assess language skills as fairly and authentically to the demands of the real world as possible. Because of this, Cambridge ESOL tests are the only internationally accredited English language tests where active speaking skills are not assessed via the computer, but in a face-to-face interview with Examiners.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
We can organise the tests for people with disabilities, including dyslexia, visual impairment etc, by giving extra time or modified papers.
For extra time, please provide an up to date doctor’s certificate. For dyslexia we require a dyslexia report dated within the past two years. Please note that we need to receive medical evidence at least 6 weeks before your chosen test date. For modified papers (for example braille), please contact us at least 3 months before the chosen date for your exam, so we can together find the right solution for you.
FAST RESULTS
Many Cambridge ESOL candidates need their test results to apply for Higher Education courses, jobs, or for immigration purposes. We therefore provide the fastest possible turnaround time for results.
